Michael Slamanig Managing Partner
After completing his law degree in 1988, Michael Slamanig played a key role in setting up the first provincial office of the rapidly expanding Publico agency, in Klagenfurt. He became a senior consultant at Pleon Publico Vienna in 2005 after 17 years as managing director at the company’s Carinthian and Styrian offices. His extensive experience in communications consulting in Austria and abroad has benefited customers in the energy and industry sectors, and forms the basis for his risk communication activities.
In 2011 Michael Slamanig co-founded peritia communications. He specialises in consulting for the energy and infrastructure industry, and provides businesses and institutions with strategic advice and support on addressing internally and externally driven risk situations. He is now Managing Partner at pantarhei corporate advisors, the product of the January 2013 merger of peritia communications and cumclave Unternehmensberatung.
Michael Slamanig has advised numerous companies and organisations during his career, providing strategic consulting services and heading up a variety of projects for the likes of Wietersdorfer & Peggauer Zementwerke; fruit juice producer Pago Fruchtsäfte; mineral water company Gasteiner Mineralwasser; the Austrian Chamber of Civil Law Notaries; American Superconductor (AMSC) subsidiary Windtec; Thyssen Krupp Elevator AG; Austrian Power Grid AG; electricity company Verbund AG; the Austrian energy regulator E-Control; Alpe Adria Energia Srl; Verbund Austrian Hydro Power; Montanwerke Brixlegg, a metals refining specialist; Tyrol-based hydropower utility TIWAG; illwerke vkw, an energy group; OMV (Nabucco project); water and wastewater management specialist Veolia Wasser Österreich; and solar energy company Sonnenkraft, part of General Solar Systems.
