Michael Höfler studied sales and marketing part-time at Vienna University of Applied Sciences and at Berlin School of Economics and Law, and graduated in 2010 from the Department of Economics at the Alpen Adria University of Klagenfurt. He began his career in 2002 as a parliamentary assistant at the Austrian Parliament before joining leading PR firm Pleon Publico in 2004, where he quickly rose through the ranks to become Senior Consultant. Since 2008, Michael Höfler has been a lecturer at the Institute for Sociology and Social Research at Vienna University of Economics and Business and at Vienna University of Applied Sciences’ Institute for Communication, Marketing & Sales.
In 2011 he founded peritia communications, and as Managing Partner he was a driving force behind the company’s rise to become one of Austria’s leading communications agencies within just two years. peritia merged with cumclave Unternehmensberatung in January 2013. Following the merger, Michael Höfler became Managing Partner of pantarhei corporate advisors.
In the course of his career Michael Höfler has mainly advised clients from the ICT, health care, industrial and advocacy sectors, including Microsoft, Hutchison 3G, Logitech, nic.at, Konica Minolta, T-Mobile, McDonald’s, Novartis, AUVA, AKG/Harman, Wettpunkt, various industry associations and sections of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, the Austrian National Tourist Office, Junior Chamber Austria, Gründerservice Österreich (Austria’s support agency for start-ups) and the Wiener Praterverband (the association of businesses operating at Vienna’s Prater park). Michael’s most prominent successes include communications consulting for the merger between Hutchison 3G and Orange in 2012, and PR consulting for the McDonald’s Player Escort programme at UEFA EURO 2008. Born in Lower Austria, Michael now lives in Vienna.
